A film about grief, friendship and those left behind. When his best friend Flick dies, Matty quickly finds himself cut from official proceedings. After an unsuccessful attempt to speak out at her funeral he tries to connect with her family only to discover her sister wants to turn Flick’s ashes into a diamond. Matty realises he needs to take matters into his own hands.

A new couple, Jeff and Mia, attend her boss's party hoping she might get a promotion out of it. Arriving late, they're surprised to be greeted by a bowl of keys. Their relationship will be put to the test as they explore what their boundaries are but next time maybe Mia should read the invitation.

After Matt's play is cancelled he realises his life lacks direction. Taking this thought all too literal, he decides to hire a director to help guide him through his everyday life.
